Free SLA deadline calculator

An SLA target of “8 hours” rarely means 8 hours on the clock. It means 8 hours of business time. Enter when the ticket was opened, the target and the client’s opening hours, and this calculator shows when the ticket is due.

How the deadline is calculated

The clock starts when the ticket is opened, but only runs inside the opening hours of the days you mark as working days. Time outside those hours, at weekends and on holidays is skipped. When the day ends, the remaining time carries over to the next working day.

An example

A ticket opened on Friday at 16:00, with an 8-hour target and opening hours from 09:00 to 18:00, has 2 hours left on Friday. The other 6 hours run on Monday from 09:00, so the deadline is Monday at 15:00, not Friday night.

What this calculator does not include

It does not pause the clock while a ticket waits on the client, and it does not know about your clients’ different calendars. That is what Metproof does for every ticket automatically. Read how to calculate SLA compliance for the rules, or see how alerts warn you before a deadline passes.
